Clinical Mental Health Provider- Here to Guide You
Currently offering online and in person.
In person Equine or Nature Therapy occurs outdoors.
Video sessions are a way to cope with isolation and uncertainty. This is a face to face experience and while it is limited in some ways, there are also some greater freedoms in video therapy.
Ask me about the additional risks and benefits of working outdoors where the environment acts as co-therapist.

Quirky, Creative, & Curious
I'm the mother of two quirky and creative young people. And I know what it's like to grow up feeling different. I think all of us have felt that way at some point.
I've been an art teacher, horse trainer, costume designer and now therapist.
I believe the way the experiences we have interact with our genetics make us who we are. Some experiences we can change and some we have to re-story.
I'm fascinated by cognitive neuroscience and it informs how I think about people and what makes them tick. There is a lot more going on in our brains/bodies than we are aware of.
A Bit About Therapy
I believe we are wired for connection. Pain and healing both happen within relationships to others. Brains and nervous systems develop slightly differently due to external and internal experiences, growing like a garden. The purpose of therapy is to help a person map and tend their garden: Which plants do they want to keep, encourage, fertilize? And which ones do they want to weed out? What is happening below the flowers and thorns, how is the soil composed? What are the underlying features created by unmet needs, experiences, and social patterns? Frequently there was some type of trauma, an experience which confused the system. I invite clients into their gardens to explore through talking, art, sandtray, or nature. My role is to offer encouragement, support, and guidance.
